Getting started

One Game a Day releases one new browser game every day. Playing takes one click.

Play today's game

  1. Open https://onegameaday.net/ in your browser.
  2. The top of the page shows the Game of the Day: its title, a one-line tagline and a short description.
  3. Press Play now. The game's own page opens and the game starts loading straight away.

If you would rather read about the game first, press How to play instead. It opens the same game page without starting the game. From there, the large Play button starts it whenever you are ready.

Nothing to install, no account

  • Games run inside your browser. There is no download and no installer.
  • There is no sign-in. The site has no player accounts at all.
  • Every game is free. Each game page lists its price as "Free", and the site has no checkout or payment feature.

Because there are no accounts, anything personal stays in your browser: your favourites, your recently played list, and any progress a game saves. My games explains what is kept and what clears it.

Finding your way around

The header at the top of every page has:

  • The logo, a calendar leaf showing the day of the month. It links back to the front page.
  • Search games, which opens a search panel. Pressing the / key does the same.
  • Links to All games, Releases and My games.

On a phone or a narrow window the header links are replaced by a bar at the bottom of the screen with four tabs: Today, All games, Releases and My games. The search button stays in the header as a magnifier icon.

The footer of every page links to the About and Privacy pages, and states the time at which each day's game is released.

What you need

A current web browser with JavaScript switched on, and an internet connection to load the page and the game. Some games are made for a keyboard and mouse, others also work by touch; each game page says which. See Devices and browsers for what has been tested.

Where to go next
